Covering 1.5 million sq. ft., the development includes shops, offices, a cinema, hotel, and 250 apartments. As part of the project, London-based consultants InSite Arts curated a programme of public art, including Neville Gabie's Cabot Circus Cantata. Between March and September 2007, Gabie worked with David Ogden, director of the City of Bristol Choir, to record songs on the construction site. With over 72 nationalities represented among the workforce, the aim was to capture songs in many languages. From this collection, the choir of 100 learned 18 songs in 18 different languages. In October 2007, the choir performed the specially composed Cantata from the shell of what is now the House of Fraser store, using speakers across the site to reach construction staff. The work was later staged at St James Priory, symbolically linking one of Bristol's oldest buildings with its newest. Original hardback, with yellow embossed design and lettering.
