Issued as a practical and authoritative guide for apprentices and skilled tradesmen, the serial publication was intended to build into a larger multi-volume technical reference work. The present lot comprises 28 separate original paper-covered weekly parts, several retaining the distinctive illustrated red, cream and black wrappers depicting plumbing fixtures, fireplaces, radiators and the projected six-volume work. An attractive surviving group of inter-war British technical and trade ephemera, with particular interest for collectors of plumbing, building trades, industrial history, occupational literature and period printed ephemera. Condition: Approximately 95 years old and showing substantial signs of age, handling and storage. Wrappers generally worn with rubbing, creasing, edge chipping, tears and losses. Paper browned and aged with possible staining, foxing and occasional loose or fragile leaves. Some covers and spines more worn than others. The contents have not been collated page-by-page and the 28 parts are not offered as a verified complete or consecutive run. Please refer to photographs for representative condition.
