He attended school at St. Sebald and the Aegidianum. In 1649 he began studying at the University of Tübingen and in 1651 he moved to the University of Altdorf. His subsequent study trip took him to Strasbourg and Utrecht, among other places. He returned to Altdorf in 1657 and received his doctorate in both laws in 1658 with his dissertation De Diffidationibus. Peller settled in Nuremberg as a lawyer in 1658 and was named to the greater council in 1659, a consultant and assessor at the lower court in 1665 and an assessor at the city court in 1674. Peller also took on duties as an envoy for the imperial city. In 1692 he was appointed pro-chancellor of the University of Altdorf, as well as assessor of the appeal and banking court and mint councillor. When the University of Altdorf was granted the right to award doctorates in theology in 1697, he was given the title of Imperial Court Count Palatine. Peller owned a large library, the catalogue of which comprised around 300 pages when it was auctioned. He also supported the development of the university library in Altdorf with regular donations of books. Wolfgang Moritz Endter (1653-1723) was a German printer and publisher residing in Nuremberg.
