It is in this tradition that Builder Levy photographed in Appalachia. There he participated in the struggle of the mining community against a brutal economic and physical environment." (Walter Rosenblum). Illustrated with twelve full page high quality offset reproductions of b/w photographs depicting Appalachian minors and their environment in the 1970s. Plate seven (Andrew Kosto) present in the complete set and a light gloss duplicate. Very light wear along edges of portfolio and minor age-toning.
