1st Printing. Bifolium. Black and white photograph to upper wrapper titled "AYR: Burns Cottage". 8-1/4" x 6-3/4" A VG copy. Light age toning, corners slightly rubbed. Internally clean and bright. Off white card stock wrappers, printed in black, slip with typed menu items tipped in. Now housed in a mylar sleeve.

[wrecked on the coast of Madagascar in 1792; and of the sufferings connected with that Event.] 12pp pub. ads.vi, 7-188pp. Frontis. present depicting the stricken shop dated 1826. To which is subjoined a short account of the natives of Madagascar, with suggestions as to their civilization. 'By a passenger in the ship' . Pub. printed boards. Loss to the spine covering and cracked to the paper on the joints. Darkened binding but a scarce imprint. Uncut edges. [The passenger was George Buchan of Kellow, Berwicks.] The first ediiton 1820 is more common than this 1826 issue and only two copies traced in Copac.

Condición: Very Good. New York: M. W. Siebert, 1885. Single folded sheet, printed on all panels with woodcut of a ship to front. Quarto (26 cm); 4 pages, unpaginated. Empty table to last panel. Edges rubbed and a few closed tears at margins; fold to middle; previous owner tape repair to some edges and gutter; toned with mild soiling. Overall a Very Good example. Lists cabin passengers and officers aboard the "Hammonia" for the New York to Hamburg route leaving July 2nd, 1885. While we find no recognizable names, we enjoy Mr. Oscar Bischoff and his family Minnie, Olivie, Dora, and Nora (disappointingly none of cookie fame).
