Significantly, this book contains the first published information on golf course architecture in the chapter entitled, "Laying Out and Keeping Golf-Links". The delicate cover illustration is complete (often rubbed), no fading to spine and all gilt is present. The original endpapers are bright with uncracked hinges. A sound copy of the Fifth Impression, identical to the first edition, with scattered minor foxing. There is a small stain and "Mowbray M___" written on the upper title page. No bookplate, marginalia, underlining, creases, or tears. Covers protected in clear mylar. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
