Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Good. The Razorbacks: A Story of Arkansas Football(Revised and Enlarged Edition) by Orville Henry and Jim Bailey was published by The Strode Publishers, Huntsville, Alabama, in 1974. Not an ex-library copy, this 41-year-old, 346-page, 6" X 9" offering is in VG+/G condition. The book is physically crisp and firm, but does show some modest yellowing of end papers front and back as well as text's pages as its only real flaw. The dust jacket is in overall nice shape, but it, too, has yellowed modestly with the passage of time. A smallish portion of the bottom tip/edge where the inside back flap makes its inner fold is gone. This is, then, just about everything a strident member of Hog Nation might want to know about University of Arkansas football, from 1894 through 1973, anyway, along with dozens upon dozens of vintage, black and white photographs which provide faces and bodies to many of the notables discussed/described throughout the book. From Herbert Y. Fishback to Hugo Bezdek to Steve Creekmore to Francis Schmidt to Bill Fulbright to Fred Thomsen to Clyde Scott to John Barnhill to Bowden Wyatt to Frank Broyles to Jim Mooty to Lance Alworth to Ken Hatfield to Bill Ferrell to Joe Ferguson to. . You get the idea, I'm certain. Also included are Contents Pages and an Appendix(containing many fascinating statistical records such as Arkansas vs. All Opponents by Yearly Schedules' Final Scores, All-Southwest Conference Razorbacks, All-America Selections, Razorback Bowl Records, and an Alphabetized List of Razorback Lettermen. If you live and breathe Arkansas football, but have not availed yourself of its humble beginnings and early history and development, this volume is waiting and ready to entertain and inform. Thanks!!
