Añadir al carritoSoft cover. Condición: Fair. A Hundred Years From Now By Jack Caddigan, James A. Brennan, and Oliver E. Story Copyright 1914 Sheet music with illustrated color cover Cover illustration attributed to Starmer Featuring Tom Linton and His Jungle Girls Condition: Fair Vintage popular-song sheet music distinguished by an elaborate futuristic cover depicting a densely built city with elevated transportation structures, airships, and flying machines. A foreground figure surveys the scene through a telescope, while an inset portrait advertises Tom Linton and His Jungle Girls. Printed in blue-green and ochre tones, the cover offers a striking early twentieth-century vision of the future. The cover's importance extends beyond its musical content, with appeal to collectors of early science-fiction imagery, aviation illustration, and speculative urban design. Institutional collections recognize these themes: the Newberry Library indexes the cover under airplanes, airships, skyscrapers, telescopes, and prophecy, while the Smithsonian holds the title in its aeronautical sheet-music collection. Condition: Fair. Illustrated cover shows age toning, scattered staining and soiling, creasing, edge wear, and small edge tears. The principal cover composition and performer portrait remain clearly visible. Inner page is present, but separated from binding. Will present well in a protective sleeve. Please review photos for details. Starmer (ilustrador).…

Añadir al carritoCondición: Good. First Edition. Fantastic cover art of a gnome looking through a telescope to gaze at the city of the future, with the skies crowded with various flying vehicles, one of which was massive as an ocean liner, navigating between and/or not much above skyscrapers, these ornate as was the prevailing style at the time. And published in a Tremont Street, Boston publisher, not a Tin Pan Alley denizen! Measuring 34 by 27 cm, 6 pages including cover -- the song is four pages. The rear cover pushes other songs published by Story, who was one of the credited songwriters of this song. The three credited writers, it is apparent, worked with one another often, although more as twosomes, and Brennan also wrote solo. And from the titles of the songs, novelty songs were a major part of their output. The sheet music has a moderate amount of wear and soiling. A few small chips and closed tears along the edges.…
