Cleric and naturalist White combined a precise prose style with meticulous observation of the natural world around him. DJ price-clipped, mildly chipped, and sunned, with a few small tears; marked verso with a bibliographical notice written faintly in fountain pen; mylar covered. Upper edge faintly stained by two small spots. Rubber stamp of export authority in faded red ink (upside down) on bastard title: "Printed in Great Britain." Nevertheless, gilding on front board and spine intact, blue buckram nicely buffed; binding tight; text block unmarked. In sum: VG in G jacket.
