This book contains details and images of a collection of paintings by the Italian painter Giorgio Morandi (1890-1964). It was originally planned to be published as an exhibition catalogue for the exhibition "Giorgio Morandi: Dialogue with Morandi: From De Chirico to Fontana", which was scheduled to be held in Japan in 2011, but was unfortunately canceled due to the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 3 of that year. In addition to about 11 Morandi works, it contains scenes from the artist's studio by photographer Luigi Gilli and multifaceted texts.
