The author, a politician, argues that by focusing on commerce and creating a free and open trade with the American and European continents, Britain could strengthen its political and economic power. He also highlights the importance of domestic resources and industries, such as agriculture, manufacturing, and mining, for national wealth and self-sufficiency. The author's insights are particularly relevant today as countries grapple with issues of globalization, trade, and economic development. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
