Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: No DJ. 1st Edition. Published: 1923. First Edition. First edition of Catholic mysticism from the Mary's Meadow Private Press. This soulful exploration of spiritual parenting is a quintessential artifact of the Catholic Literary Revival, edited by the Rev. H.E.G. Rope. This copy features prestigious provenance, bearing the library plate of St. Bede's Hawkesyard Library, directly linking it to the historic Bishton Hall and the Dominican theological heritage of Hawkesyard Priory. DESCRIPTION: Blue cloth with gilt titles to front and spine. Black and white frontis. Language: English. Book Condition: Good.Wear to corners, edges and spine ends and edges. Tightly bound with clean endpapers and pages. Hawkesyard Library plate to front paste down. DJ Condition: No DJ. Pages 115. Size: 12mo (large) 19cm by 14cm. PROVENANCE: Library Plate: St. Bedes Hawkesyard Library [Bishton Hall]. St. Bedes School was a Roman Catholic preparatory school located at Bishton Hall, Staffordshire, from 1946 until its closure in 2018. The school had deep ties to Hawkesyard Priory, a Dominican house. When the Dominicans left the estate, their significant theological library, which included rare Catholic texts, was often dispersed or integrated into associated Catholic institutions like St. Bedes. BOOK RESUME: This work is a profound religious and philosophical treatise addressing the metaphysical legacy of parenthood. Rather than focusing on material inheritance, OConnor argues that the greatest gift a parent can bestow is a foundation of Catholic faith, character, and spiritual mysticism. The text is structured as a series of meditative reflections, typical of the Marys Meadow Press style, which sought to integrate domestic life with high spiritual purpose. AUTHOR: Armel O'Connor (1880-1955) was an English Catholic poet, musician, and mystic who formed a central part of the early 20th-century Catholic Literary Revival. Operating from his home, St. Mary's Meadow in Ludlow, Shropshire, he and his wife, Lucy Violet O'Connor, founded the Mary's Meadow Press to publish works focused on spiritual devotion and traditional Christian values. A Professor of Music by trade, O'Connor served in the Royal Army Medical Corps during WWI, an experience that deepened the spiritual introspection found in his writing. His work is characterized by a 'Franciscan' simplicity and was frequently edited by his close friend, the noted Catholic priest and author Rev. H. E. G. Rope.
