Listed 77 engravings in 26 regions of the lower 48 states. Engravings on frontis-piece and title page not included in the list, so more than 77, all listed engravings bound in and on pages numbered within text. Only 3 of the 26 areas listed are west of Mississippi River. Copyright date 1883 as this collection. Unfortunately, no biographic information is available about the editor/compiler of this collection and none of the artists or dates of their work are identified. frontis + 121pp. Folio sized (between 12 to 15 inches, longest side) hardcover has green cloth boards embossed with black illustration/lettering & gold accents on front cover but no dust jacket. Age has separated cover from text and thread has become fragile. Book appears complete, but requires restoration work to become usable as a book. Page edges are gilt. Book inscribed as 1895 gift, adds no value. Interior is complete, loosely bound, unmarked, clean, but brown with age to require careful handling. Copyright as this collection 1883. Made in U.S.A.
