Increasing problems and the loss of sales profits make it necessary not only for international brand owners, but also for the government to find out the reasons for the purchase of counterfeits all over the world. Furthermore, the often not known consequences caused by counterfeiting are demonstrated. The question whether customers buy counterfeits and the reasons behind the purchase is analysed with the adoption of a questionnaire. This research study intends to find out who is more responsible for the increasing damage through counterfeits - those who distribute or those who purchase forged products.
