Añadir al carritoCondición: Near Fine. First Edition. Inscribed by Moriani. A delightful survey of dental health directed at children, with two toned (gold and black) illustrations, some whimsical, throughout. It is the unusual book about dentistry and teeth geared for a juvenile audience that in no way condescends or dumbs down the subject, and it is rather impressive the range of topics the book covers, including the teeth of other animals, including dogs in particular. While published during the Fascist era, the only possible political angle one could find in the work is the dedication to Vittorio Emmanuele, and the significance of this is to us, entirely ambiguous and probably unanswerable. With the illustrations of the little devilish creatures invading the teeth and whatnot, we think this is a book worthy of re-publication and translation, with revisions only to update some of the technical aspects of dental care. 8vo. 23 by 16.5 cm. 46, [2] pp. Only one institutional holding appearing on OCLC First Search. Condition: light soiling to the white covers. Slight bend to the boards. Overall a lovely, and uncommonly well-preserved, copy. Hardcover. Paper pastedown on boards.
