Soft cover. Condición: Good. Original b/w illustrated wraps 22x28cm. 24pp including wraps with several b/w photos and drawings. Good with a hard vertical centrefold crease, and the recipient's mailing details printed to the back (Anthony E. Ramirez, a social studies teacher in San Francisco). Aramco World was at this time edited by T.O. Phillips, and issued monthly by Aramco's PR Department in New York. This issue concludes a major article commenced in the January 1962 issue on Aramco's role in fostering and developing local talent in Saudi Arabia: "After years of shopping the world to supply its oil operations, Aramco is now passing on is purchasing experience to Saudi Arab businessmen and in a few years plans to buy 50 per cent of its supplies through local merchants". Other Saudi content includes Aramco's provision of scholarships to encourage Arab women into nursing; and the battle against desertification. The latter looks into dune formation, their impact on Al Hasa Oasis, and how their spread may be addressed (eg, by spraying asphalt, erecting fences, tree planting). Other content covers Saladin and the Crusades, and George Washington. Photographers include Aramco's own B.H. Moody; Khalil Abou El-Nasr; V.K. Antony; T.F. Walters; C.E. Wilkins; and B.S. Bates. B.H.
