A professor of philosophy and religion at San Francisco State University for 35 years until her retirement in 1988, Nancy is lovingly remembered by colleagues and by generations of students as a brilliant, exacting teacher who inspired her students to strive for perfection and who was unstinting in her attention to their development. A poet, philanthropist and generous friend, she was a longtime member of the Vedanta Society of Northern CA.".
