Scrambles Amongst the Alps, by Edward Whymper, has 164 pages, a frontispiece engraving in silver and white, 15 full page b/w engravings, and multiple in-text b/w engravings. The silver on the frontispiece has caused a beige coloring on the title page. Down the Rhine, by Lady Blanche Murphy, has 75 pages, 16 full page b/w engravings, and multiple in-text b/w engravings. This title is not of the book's cover. The spine strip's cloth has faded, has 1/8 in. size, brown stains, and its top edge is a little frayed.
