Book is good only: wear to covers, especially at edges; front illustration is clean and bright; gift inscription in beautiful script on front endpaper; first three pages are included, but detached; remainder of text is clean, tight and solid, no writing, no smudges.…

Slight foxing to edges; interior pages are clean. Binding is firm. A very good+ copy in a good+ dust jacket. Front flap states "There are over 40 illustrations in full color by Eulalie, 21 of which are full-page drawings" (with latter being, save for the frontispiece, all on rectos). THE THREE BEARS (Star No. 1070): short tear at lower spine fold. LONG AGO STORIES (Star No. 1091): fractional loss at top corners at spine head, tearing and surface scuffing along spine fold; features two short tales - "Tom Thumb" and "The Sleeping Beauty" (pages 7-16) with the latter being an extended version of that in the preceding Star No. 1067 but sharing three of the same illustrations.
