Each Plate Has Small Glue Marks On Reverse Where They Were Tipped In To An Album. Stefano Mulinari (1741-) Studied Printmaking Techniques Under A. Scacciati. He Then Worked As An Assistant To This Master, Engraving A Series Of Plates Based Upon Old Master Drawings In The Florentine Collection. This Series Consisted Of One Hundred Plates. Upon The Death Of Scacciati, Mulinari Completed The Remaining Sixty Engravings By Himself And Secured A Strong Reputation For His Art, Which Combined Etching, Engraving And Aquatinting, Usually In Sepia Tones.
