First published in 1863, this very comprehensive manual was designed as an aid for immigrants. It was also the first English book printed in Argentina. Its last chapter (pp401-404) deals with the Falkland Islands. The editors, initially engaged in sheep farming, also founded the Buenos Aires Standard , the first daily newspaper in English.
