Original white printed paper-covered lidded box (7.5x11x4cm) containing ten (of twelve) unused die-cut, folded and moveable bridge party invitations (ca. 6x10cm) with accompanying envelopes (6.5x10cm -- eleven of twelve present). Light dust-soil to box, the die-cut portion on one card creased, else a Very Good example, though sadly not quite complete. Sweet and saucy collection of bridge party invitations depicting a group of four stylish blond women seated at a table, the tablecloth serving as a moveable flap which, when lifted, displays the women's bare and shapely legs and ankles.

      Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. 1st Edition. No date [1859]. 8 leaves, engraved on one side only, each bearing a hand-coloured illustration that has moveable sections operated by levers. A very clean copy , all moveables working, a couple stick a little but do work and the last one 'Here is a Bull', has been repaired, the original string has been tied around the bull s neck which has caused a horizontal tear along the paper. Bound in original cloth-backed pictorial boards, the rear advertising Dean & Son s One Shilling Juvenile Coloured Picture Toy Books And Children s Moveable Coloured Picture Books. The edges to the boards a little worn as usual with some light , odd fox mark inside, but generally a very good clean copy of a book which is usually found very worn and incomplete/ damaged. Size 255 x 175 mm (10 x 6.75 inches).
