Pale greenish-blue cloth soiled and stained; some scuffing/bumping at spine ends and board corners; slight dulling to front board's gilt stamping. Lacks front free endpaper with old tape repair along hinge reinforcing binding from ffep's removal. Light toning to front pastedown and on opposing title page as well as to rear endpapers; a few short stray ink marks on front pastedown and rear free endpaper; margin toning and a few spots of soiling to early leaves but overall interior text pages are clean. Noting the aforementioned tape repair along front hinge binding is otherwise firm. Poems by Greensboro, Alabama-born author who was raised at her family's landmark antebellum mansion Magnolia Grove and who attended Newcomb College and resided her adult life in Hammond, Louisiana with her son James H.
