Boy wearing a cap and an earring, seen from the side. Ethcing in bistre, on hand laid paper, sheet size 212 x 290 mm., platemark 156 x 206 mm., made by François Morellon la Cave (1696-1768). Morellon la Cave was an originally French Huguenot engraver who settled in The Hague, and later (after his marriage) in Amsterdam. He was a student of Bernard Picart. In excellent condition, with ample margins. Very faint stains in the far right margin edge. With the collection mark of Jan Hendrik Jurriaanse (Lugt 1403b) stamped on the verso.
