Originele omslag, zoals gepubliceerd. (Goed exemplaar, maar los in de omslag). De mooie pochoir prent is niet getekend, artist onbekend (?).

Tiegem De Vleeschouwer 1923 Gebrocheerd, 84+[2]pp., 21x30.5cm., in goede staat (een extra papieromslag werd aan de originele omslag gelijmd). Deze bundel is samengesteld door de bekende Vlaamse letterkundige en Pelgrim-componist Alfons Moortgat (1881-1962), die bekendstond als specialist van het geestelijke volkslied. De Geestelijke liederkrans-reeks was een belangrijk initiatief van Moortgat om het kwalitatieve, christelijke volkslied in Vlaanderen te stimuleren. De bundels bevatten religieuze liederen in de volkstaal, bedoeld voor gebruik in de kerk (buiten de strikte liturgie), op school en binnen het huisgezin. Dit specifieke exemplaar vormt een prachtige brug tussen de Vlaamse muziekgeschiedenis en de beeldende kunst dankzij de bijzondere provenance en handgeschreven toevoegingen. Het boek is gesigneerd en voorzien van een mooie, handgeschreven opdracht aan Prosper (Pros) Bosteels (1881-1964). Bosteels was een vooraanstaand Belgisch landschapsschilder, etser en tekenleraar die gerekend wordt tot de Dendermondse Schildersschool. Bij de muziekbundel is een ingekleefd handgeschreven kaartje gevoegd. Dit kaartje bevat persoonlijke huldewensen van de componist Alfons Moortgat gedateerd op 8 november 1957.
