The November 3, 1912, supplement to the Sunday Record-Herald newspaper, published in Chicago. Unrelated to the contents of the magazine, the cover features a full color illustration of a young woman with a group of celebrating people, holding a banner with the word "VOTE" on it. The illustration was made by cartoonist and pulp magazine illustrator Patrick J. Monahan (1882-1931). The son of Irish immigrants to Iowa, Monahan studied at the Des Moines Academy of Art under Charles Atherton Cumming before moving to the east coast to pursue magazine illustration.
