The pictures themselves are acceptable, though some tones such as orange are washed out. For each species profile the book provides a color photograph with the following information: length, weight, origin, status, aviculture, accommodation, diet, clutch size, incubation, young in nest, sexual dimorphism, etc. , etc. , etc. Mrs Low has been a prolific author who has produced several species specific books for birds like macaws, caiques, lories and others.
