Second UK hardback edition of this collection of stories previously published in 1953 by Cassell. Originally published in the US by Random House in 1951. There is a little bumping to the corners of the boards which are otherwise unmarked. Quite heavy browning to the page edges and the pages are also browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has quite a bit of browning to the spine with some chipping with a little loss at the top and bottom - the bottom has a quarter-inch piece missing. The front panel has three small chips and a few small tears to the edges with two small stains. The rear panel has a small hole to the surface towards the bottom edge and a little edge chipping. Light chipping to the corners. Jacket design by Cecil W. Bacon.
