Transmitted by] MESSAGE OF THE PRESIDENT, Richmond, Va., Feb. 25, 1863. 7p., paste-fastened pamphlet bearing the oval "Rebel Archives" stamp (very faint, partially legible), binder has applied paste adroitly leaving no stain, mildest toning, a very good copy. Parrish & Willingham 2063. A doublespread table states what real estate, where located, amount paid into treasury (the property being summarily sold); half of seizures were in Georgia: example: 5 Aug 1862 "Lots, Marietta" taken from one T. Stewardson brought $2,560. Please email with questions or to request photos. This Confederate Imprint is one of more than 100 recently acquired, most with 'Rebel Archives' stamp on the cover, indicating that these were the actual copies seized by the Union Army at the end of the Civil War.
