The book delves into Herzog's efforts to strengthen the Catholic community in Breslau, including his support for numerous charitable organizations. It also examines his role in fostering dialogue between Catholics and Protestants, and his advocacy for the rights of the working class. Through a detailed analysis of Herzog's sermons, speeches, and pastoral letters, the author provides a comprehensive understanding of his theological and social thought.
