Jordanoff assembled his first airplane in 1918 and was later employed by Curtiss-Wright and Boeing. Jordanoff authored several other aviation books including "YOUR WINGS" (1936), "THROUGH THE OVERCAST; THE ART OF INSTRUMENT FLYING" (1938), and "JORDANOFF'S ILLUSTRATED AVIATION DICTIONARY" (1942).
