Unbound. Condición: Near Fine. Presumed first edition. Five and a half stapled quarto sheets making [9½]pp. Mimeographed onto low-quality paper. Illustrated with a small portrait, reportedly of Morton F. Meads, stapled between the third and fourth leaves. First and last leaves neatly separated, light old folds for mailing, very good or better. A bizarre document claiming that the 1988 American presidential election was stolen from a coalition of parties that included the "Christian-Justice Party," the "Flying Tigers Party," and the "Plebiscite Party," after their candidates (William L. Fields for President and Morton F. Meads for Vice President) won the popular vote. The American two-party system is called corrupt in no uncertain terms, and this act is called "the most corrupt thing in the universe." An introductory screed is followed by facsimiles of four fiery letters by Errol McKeehan (likely Meads, see below), purported Vice-Chairman of the aforementioned coalition, and addressed from Manila. The four letters are addressed to: "The European Parliament, *The Observer*, *Le Monde*, *Der Speigel*, *The Seattle Post-Intelligencer*, *The British Broadcasting Corp.*"; "The Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and Republican Government-owned and Financed Organization, Washington, D.C."; "The Honorable Michael Dukakis"; and "To all Stupid, Cowardly, Greedy and Corrupt Academics Lawyers and Media Things in the USA." Things only get more strange, because the document seems to be published by the wronged Vice Presidential candidate, Morton F. Meads. Information is sparse, but Meads appears to be an American, who stayed in the Philippines after military service in WWII, and later (according to the *Atlantic Magazine*) founded the "Republic of Morac-Songhrati-Meads" on one of the Spratly Islands, about 700km from Philipines. Our best guess is that this document was created either to muster support for some endeavor in Manila, or as a warm-up act for a reported 1992 American presidential run.
