In 1866 a three way busines partnership was formed by Thomas Wood, Cornelius O'Keefe, and Thomas Greenhow. Their idea was to supply cattle (meat) to the miners in the Cariboo gold camp. They got to a rest spot on the north end of Okanagan Lake and the rest ._._._. is history !! Today the ranch is an active tourist interpretive center. Read more about : Catherine Schubert, Balmoral school and the butler's pantry in the mansion. One map and b/w photographs assist text. Cond ; paper wrapper is white with black lettering. Front cover b/w cameo photograph features the `modern' stagecoach at the ranch. Volume seems to have been dedicated by the author to a previous owner - now whiteout is added.No other names, nor marks. No tears nor bumps. History reference for the B.C. interior. Quote (p. 09) " Thomas Wood lived to what could be called ` ripe old age'.
