First issue of this uncommon post-WWI literary magazine, edited by the young Robert Graves and featuring contributions from an impr…essive group of established and emerging British writers and artists. Gravesâ short verse piece, Careless Lady, is illustrated by his wife, artist and textile designer Nancy Nicholson, while her father, William Nicholson, supplied the cover design. Other contributors include John Masefield and Gravesâ close wartime friend Siegfried Sassoon. Letterpress printed by Gerald Meynell on laid paper. Issued in a sewn three-hole binding; threads now perished and page block laid into the covers. Covers toned and worn with chipping and shallow loss at edges; spine fold split. Contents bright and clean. Good only. Illustrated by William Nicholson, Nancy Nicholson (ilustrador).
