Añadir al carritoOriginal 127 page screenplay for an unproduced film of the acclaimed Broadway musical written by the original creator of the musical play. Masteroff was previously librettist for Cabaret and Harnack and Bock wrote the songs for Fiddler On the Roof. This copy belonged to actor Jerry Orbach and has some ink circlings in his hand in the text. In 1970, a film production was in full swing to star Jerry Orbach and Julie Andrews. Jerry Orbach (1935-2004) is best remembered for the seen everything New York City police detective, Lennie Briscoe, on the long running television series, Law & Order. However, he was originally a major Broadway star in shows like The Fantasticks, Promises, Promises, Chicago, 42nd Street, etc. Orbach became successful in films as well appearing in Prince of the City, Dirty Dancing, Woody AllenÕs Crimes and Misdemeanors, Mr. Saturday Night, and voiced the role of the Candlestick in Walt DisneyÕs acclaimed animated feature, Beauty and the Beast. Greatly admired and beloved by his colleagues, Jerry Orbach has had a street in the Broadway area, and a New York City theater named in his honor.…
