A significant Persian linguistic work from the early 19th century, representing one of the best Arabic-Persian dictionaries. Compiled by Muhammed bin Abdül'hal?k bin Maruf (d. 1478 C.E.), Kanz al-Lughat is widely recognized as one of the finest lexicons for Arabic into Persian. Known for its clarity and practical structure, it was frequently copied during the manuscript period, and has remained an essential reference for religious and literary education. Even today, it continues to be a major source for scholars in these fields. This particular manuscript was meticulously copied by renowned Shirazi calligrapher Abd al-Jaffar bin Muhammad Sharif, and his seal is present at the end of the text, which is dated Safar 1239 [November 1823]. It was likely prepared for private use, as indicated by the unmarked margins left for commentary, but the absence of an ownership seal and pristine condition suggests that the manuscript has largely remained unused.
