Small bookplate of Athenaeum on front fixed endpaper indicating that the volume was a gift of John Freeman, Esq., is stamped to indicate that it was no longer the property of the Athenaeum. In Very Good+ Condition: lower spine scraped; corners rubbed; front fixed endpaper scraped where a former bookplate was removed before the Athenaeum bookplate was added; clean and bright.

Limited edition of two hundred and fifty copies, of which this is number two hundred and three. The notes from the Warden's Account book for the Worshipful Company of Carpenters, a livery company in the City of London, that opened an evening institute in 1886 offering classes in carpentry, joinery, plumbing, geometry, mechanical drawing and cookery. This work contains notes from 1546 to 1571 with specific reference to payments and accounts. Transcribed and edited by Bower Marsh. In the original quarter vellum binding with blue cloth boards. Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Marks to the boards and spine. Light discolouration to the vellum as is typical with ageing. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with light scattered spotting. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Good. book.
