Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Near Fine. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. 15 May [1952] Second Printing of Second French Edition (text in French, never translated to English). While not stated anywhere in the book, this is almost certainly the second printing of the second edition. The list of books printed on the verso of the short-title page is proof that this was published after publication of the 10 March first printing of the second edition. In particular the list includes Nanda Devi by J.J. Languepin which was published in 1952. The colophon for this 1952 edition of Regards has a typo wrongly dating this book "15 May 1951," a date which would indicate it was published before the second edition. Further confusing things, the publisher removed "Seconde Edition" from the title page. This edition is quite uncommon but essentially the same as the other decorated hardcover editions. This is an example of the publisher's semi-deluxe edition hardbound in black boards with stylish pattern design on front and rear cover, gilt lettering spine, publisher's original pattern decorated EPs (which appear only in this edition; no other edition has such decorated EPs). The book was mostly issued in softcover with color photo illustrated wrappers. This is the publisher's hardcover version, never issued with a dust jacket but the color photo covers and flaps have been bound inside by the publisher and the usually loose folding map has been bound in by the publisher. This edition has the cover art work initialed by Claude Arthaud. The book has clean covers, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing, solid binding. The book measures 256mm tall x 196mm and has 96 pages, 84 gravure photos (9 are in color), 1-fold map. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
