Mexico City: Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, 2017. First edition, 1 of 1000 copies. Spanish language. Softcover with French flaps. Text with full-color images. 10 x 8 x 0.75 in. 24 oz. 190 pp. Two small stains at bottom of page block. Text clean. Near Fine. ISBN: 9786072812062. "Manuel Rocha Iturbide points out the importance of reality between creation and investigation, and explores artistic praxis starting from the world of knowledge integrated by distinct aesthetic disciplines, as well as other areas that are essential to understand the world outside the orbits of the emotional, aesthetic and sensible, as are the human sciences, exactas, and the misma philosophy. The concept of intermediality, and the transdisciplinary artist's defense as a total creator, constitute the vertebral column of this book, but always starting from the active and phenomenological perception of the world, returning to the school as a herramienta and gravitational center of this system . The book was made up of distinct ensayos written between 1992 and 2015 that relate to the author's aesthetic corpus, and is divided into three chapters.".

Añadir al carrito"With secrets drawn from her archive, Graciela Iturbide creates a curious world in which the human subjects we encounter in her widely-known portraits are absent. In asor, the human subject is the reader alone, dream borne, on a journey in which all places remain nameless, time cannot be ascertained, and the course is lost to the imagination. Loosely inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Iturbide constructs her intimate and contemporary extension of Lewis Carrolls classic tale without words, making equal use of the narrative and compositional elements of her photographs to startle her readers with visual riddles and quick shifts of perspective. To accompany a reader along this unlikely journey are six electroacoustic works by composer Manuel Rocha Iturbide. These works, composed over a fifteen year period from 1990 to 2005 from sources taped by Rocha Iturbide during his extensive travels, were selected by the composer in response to his mothers photographs." The book contains 100 photographs by the Mexican photographer Gabriela Iturbide (b. 1942) and a laid-in audio CD (fully working). /// Hardback, [204] pp., 8° (21 x 21 cm), cover slightly worn, one corner bumped, back endpaper discoloured (chemical reaction; as if CD was imprinted on endpaper), condition: good Book Language/s: English.
