Softcover. Condición: Good. Phillipa Merry Mansur (1893 - 1989) was a California artist and author interested in psychic and clairvoyant subjects. This set contains two pamphlets published at different times: Part I: "Instruction from Beyond the Swinging Veil" (very good cond.,1949, 34 p.), and Part 3: "Guidance on the Earth Path" (good condition with a small chip to bottom of lower wrapper and a crease and tiny chip to the upper corner, 35 p., 1954 p.). Author's neat label covers what was apparently the initial publisher/distributor imprint on title page. HC in original blue cloth boards with titles stamped in gilt to cover. Spine unlettered, as issued. The author was a southern California artist and seeker. Her book appears to be a fusion of spiritism/metaphysics and Christianity. Inspirational and meditative. It includes extensive Biblical attribution and notation. Solid clean and very neat. No marks. Though not stamped or marked, this scarce book was at one time in the collection of the metaphysical/spiritist library of the famous and now defunct Ephrata, PA Mountain Springs Hotel. Exceptionally uncommon title; only a few copies held in University Library special collections. VG++.
