Preface by Giulio Carlo Argan. Square 4to (8.75" x 8.75"), hardcover with pictorial dust jacket, 542 pages including two fold-out pages, illustrated throughout in b/w and color. Several color illustrations tipped-in. Some marginal notations in pencil by previous owner, an art gallerist and artist. Spine somewhat shaken. Slight bowing to textblock. Light bumping and rubbing to extremities. Moderate rubbing and soiling to dj, with closed and open tears to edges. Loss to bottom third of spine.
