Er publizierte insbesondere den "Atlas historique de la Suisse, de l'an 1300 jusqu'en 1798" sowie die hist. Wappenbücher der Kt. Neuenburg, Waadt und Genf. Ferner entwickelte er ein Schattierungs- und Höhenkurvensystem, das ihm 1875 einen Preis am internat. Kongress für Geografiewissenschaften in Paris einbrachte. 1600 gr.
