Title page undated, preface dated 1910, this is an early paperback printing of George Fowler's manual on methods of food preservation, the book provides step-by-step instructions for preserving everything from fruits and vegetables to poultry and game using his vacuum-sealing process George Fowler, Lee & Co. Ltd: was based in Reading, England, his company became a leading manufacturer of bottling and fruit-preserving appliances. Their equipment was highly regarded, eventually earning them a royal appointment as suppliers to King George VI. The book is a paperback format measuring 8.5 inches tall approx, running to 107 pages with illustrations. CONDITION The covers have some discolouration and staining, internally there is some colour bleed which affects the page edges of the last few pages, some page corner creasing, some straining to inner joints, a few marks within else in good general condition.
