Though the size of the volumes varies slightly over time, the majority are between 17 and 17.5" high, and the whole set occupies 29" of shelfspece. Various…paginations, profusely illustrated. This set is derived directly from the archives of the Visual Studies Workshop. It was de-accessioned in March 2024 when they moved to smaller quarters. As such, it has never been read and is in superior condition. The first volume covers the period March 1972 to February 1973. The final volume of this run, containing issues from Volume 36, covers the period July 2008 until June, 2009. The set is as-issued.

Contains 30 postcards of art and one card introducing the exhibition. This was the second iteration of this exhibition, the first produced at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1969. Both…exhibitions were organized by Sonia Landy Sheridan, and artist and academic. She created Generative Systems as a program at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1969 as a way to help artists adopt and use new technologies in their work. This exhibition used the social media platform Facebook as a workshop space, and included artists who were in the original exhibition, as well as others who participated in the Generative Systems program at school. Cards in NEAR FINE condition with perhaps a hint of edgewear. Box rather worn along the edges, with a few creases and wrinkles.
