Ruf zum Bauen can be translated as Call to build made by the art group Arbeiterrats fur Kunst (Worker s council for art). It was a second publication of the group, made as an album for the group exhibition. It represents the utopian ideas in architecture of Central and Western Europe. According to their fantasy the common image of the utopia was basically a fantastic crystal palace. Architects and designers who took part in creation of the book were connected to the Bauhaus and November group but also were the members of the chain letter correspondence titled Glaserne Kette - Crystal Chain (1919-1920). The book was signed presumably by Bruno Taut on 7th of July 1923 in a very dynamic and esoteric way, creating a pictogram from the letters TAUT B/7.7.23. Text in German.
