Revised edition (hardback). 8vo (24cm by 19cm), c. 60pp. 8 colour plates (the frontispiece is signed "Lorna Adamson", two other plates are signed "B Butler" and "Lilian Buchanan", the other plates are unsigned). paperback. Condición: Poor. No Jacket. paperback, two story books, both in poor condition and joined at the spine by a pasted paper backstrip. The first being a Christmas number of Aunt Louisa's London Toy books, with eight colour chromolithographs. The second title is a Thomas Nelson number, The Three Good Friends with six full page colour chromolithographs. The illustrations are mostly good but the first image in the Robin's Christmas has a surface abrasion with some small loss. Priced for sale with all faults.

Decorative Boards. Condición: Good. First Edition. Undated. Gift message on half-title page dated 1912. Boards are a little worn with a triangular piece of the surface missing from the bottom front corner and some surface discolouration to the rear cover. Corners rubbed and a little frayed. The hinges are quite slack although the binding seems to be reasonably secure. Pages a little browned but otherwise unmarked. Illustrated throughout in black and white. No jacket. Believed to be a first printing.

Hardcover. Condición: Good. No date listed, guessing circa 1880-1890. Corners are scuffed and rounded and showing boards at tips, spine is rubbed but readable, scuff to lower right of spine, back is rubbed moderately, small dampstain at lower part of hinge affecting a small area of last few pages. . otherwise front cover is quite bright and attractive, binding is solid, pages are very clean.

Sometime very neatly rebacked, retaining spine and original endpapers. Gift inscription on first free endpaper dated 1867. Very clean throughout. Occasional minor offsetting onto blanks. Generally a very good copy.

Cloth. Condición: Poor. No Jacket. Rubbed and soiled red cloth boards with pictorial front. Wear to ends of sunned spine. Binding cracked and loose with some pages seperate. Some pages missing, others torn. Sixeen colour plates remain, of which half have no damage to the picture area. No date.

Includes 'The Little Sportsman's Alphabet' beginning A for Ascot, 'The Farm Yard Hunt' about the ravages of Reynard the Fox on the farm and 'A Country Holiday' about a boy's holiday on the farm and his various mishaps. Attributed to Laura Valentine (Aunt Louisa). Scarce.
