The dust wrapper is bright, clean and pictorially illustrated with images of the author. The author's signature is present to the leaf prior to the title page with pasted newspaper clippings. It is nicely laid out, and reads "Best wishes, Nat Lofthouse". There is a pasted clipping also present, illustrating the author signing his titles. The internals are clean and free from toning. The text blocks are bright and white, but with some very minor toning. Overall, this is a near fine copy of a nice signed title.

With some pushing to the corners of the front board and rear panel, pushing to the head of the spine and slight staining to the foot, the text block with slight browning and small stain to the inside front paste down with small tear to the interior spine. In a very good unclipped wrapper with crease to the top edge of front panel, a small tear to the front fold knuckle and chips to the rear fold knuckle, with some chips to the head and foot of the spine with internal repairs and some internal browning and spotting.
