Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm stereo Demo vinyl record album, Barnaby Z12 35004, very-good-plus vinyl in a very-good-plus jacket stamped in red to jacket verso "Demonstration / Not For Sale." Progressive / Psychedelic (?) jazz / rock with a horn section, produced by Dave Grusin. The 15-minute track "Flower Pot" is reported to be their best, though some appreciate the vocal harmonies of "Dayshine," on which Grusin reportedly plays piano. Loadstone (compared by some to Chilliwack, Spooky Tooth and Melting Pot) was reportedly discovered by Andy Williams at the Pussycat A Go Go, Las Vegas, where they'd developed a considerable local following. (Barnaby was Williams' label, distributed by CBS.) John Sterling and Terry Ryan (guitar and keyboards) later played with Eric Burdon. Their only album, later re-released on Epic. Here reduced from $85.
