Also outlines the formation of the 2/9th Field Ambulance and its service in Singapore until the Japanese invaded Malaya. It describes in details the bitter but brief fighting in Singapore, and the subsequent incarceration of the unit at Changi. 3 Chapters deal with the POW experience which includes work on the Burma Thailand Railway.
