Bread tokens for the Richard Leinz Bakery in St. Louis. Undated but ca. 1920s. Illic & Hartmann operated around the turn of the century into the 1930s producing tokens for a variety of local businesses in the St. Louis area. They became especially popular during the Great Depression. Most of these are for 1 loaf of bread, the later ones specify a .10 loaf. Printed on both sides. Multiple copies available this title.
